Welcome to my web site!

I am the author of two books Acting Assertively and Diverse Divorce, both inspired by my interactions with my students. I've been an elementary school counselor for nearly twenty-five years, so most of my writing has been published in educational markets, but I've also published magazine and newspaper articles on decorating, theatre and wedding planning. My articles have appeared regionally, nationally and online in publications ranging from Wee Teach to Mature Lifestyles. I particularly enjoy writing essays and how-to pieces, and am currently working on another book for the educational market and my second novel for the Christian market.

I graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High School in Haddonfield, NJ, then moved to Pennsylvania to go to college. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology and my master's degree in education at Bucknell University. During the school year, I work as a counselor at East York Elementary School, and during the summer I spend time with my husband and my daughter, and write as much as I can. Even though I've lived in Pennsylvania for more than twenty years, I still consider myself a Jersey girl.
